Why Do I Need to Fill in a Power Requirements Form?
If we are providing a generator (booked by us through our suppliers), we will send you a power requirements form in the run up to your event. This form is essential for ensuring your event runs smoothly without any electrical issues.
Why It's Important
- Our generator supplier uses the form to base all their distribution equipment off
- They perform a demand check on the generator to ensure it won't be overloaded at peak times
- To do this accurately, they need a full picture of all equipment being brought to site by each supplier and its electrical consumption
Why We Ask You to Complete It
- We are not in direct contact with the suppliers you have booked (e.g. caterers, band, DJ, etc.)
- It ensures everything has been considered and nothing is missed
- There may be parts of your event that we aren't privy to
- You know your event best and can ensure all electrical needs are captured
Top Tip: The best way to get the information is to send the form to your individual suppliers and ask them to fill out their requirements. They will know exactly what equipment they're bringing and its power consumption.
What Information Is Needed
- The type of plug on each piece of equipment being brought to site
- The power demand of each piece of equipment
- Which supplier is bringing what equipment
- Any special electrical requirements or considerations
Suppliers to Consider
- Caterers: Ovens, fridges, coffee machines, hot plates, etc.
- Band/DJ: Amplifiers, speakers, lighting rigs, etc.
- Lighting suppliers: Festoons, uplighters, fairy lights, etc.
- Photo booth: Printers, screens, lighting, etc.
- Any other suppliers: bringing electrical equipment to site
