What is the Damage Waiver? Do I Need Wedding Insurance?
We highly recommend you get wedding insurance to cover your event. This protects you, your guests, and the equipment we provide. Here's everything you need to know about insurance and our damage waiver option.
Wedding Insurance
We strongly recommend your wedding insurance includes:
- Public liability
- Employers liability
- Cancellation of, or part of, the event
- Our property and services
Recommended cover: To cover the items we are providing, we suggest you cover yourself for £250,000 or more.
The Damage Waiver
- In addition to your insurance, you may elect to pay an optional 5% damage waiver fee
- In the absence of event insurance, the damage waiver is obligatory
- If the damage waiver fee is included, we will not seek to claim for any loss or damage to the equipment provided
What the Damage Waiver Does NOT Cover
Even with the damage waiver, you would still be responsible for all loss or damage resulting from:
- Wilful neglect or malicious acts
- Theft
- Legal liability
Your Options
- Option 1: Have your own wedding insurance (recommended) – damage waiver is optional
- Option 2: No wedding insurance – damage waiver is required (5% fee)
- Option 3: Have wedding insurance AND pay the damage waiver for extra peace of mind
