Summer Wedding

Rachel and Hugh hired a 12x34m marquee for their summer wedding reception at Rachel’s family home. So, in late August we travelled over to Essex to pitch another stunning sailcloth marquee.

It was a dreamy spot in the Essex countryside with endless fields and stunning skies. With Hugh and family travelling down from Cumbria, everyone was ready for a great weekend of celebrations.
The garden of Rachel’s parents’ house was a perfect location for the marquee. It looked stunning in the early hours of the evening with flying festoons giving off a warm glow throughout the night.
The rustic DIY feel to the wedding was created with personal touches. A window being used for the table plan and band themed table names using old records for table numbers.
Mixing and matching furniture for outdoor seating created additional areas for guests to relax. Self-service beer was available throughout the night.
This home-made fascinator holder would be a valuable addition to any wedding.
Large wooden trestle tables and cross back chairs added to the rustic feel, topped off with simple place settings.
Another feature was one of the use of Hugh’s old school Land Rover Defender as a wedding car. One of the more unusual and possibly the best we have ever seen.
Our oak top round bar was a great addition into this marquee. It offers a good space for bar staff to work from and helps keep queues reduced for large numbers of guests. When used around one of the central king poles, it can provide a way to create separate sections in the tent. As here, with formal dining at one end of the marquee, dance floor and band at the other, it allows all your guests to mingle in the centre.
Fairy lights inside the marquee provide a lovely soft glow. They can be dimmed to provide the ideal ambience for any function.
