Lake District Weddings

Sarah & Danny

**As by our friends at the Wedding Present Company**

Sarah & Danny got married in the Lake District in September 2018 –

They chose Bank Ground Farm near Coniston as their venue.  It’s a beautiful spot, with grounds running from the Farm and B&B down to the shore of Coniston Water.

They wanted to invite 140 of their friends and family and equip the marquee with a bar, a dance floor and stage for their band and after talking to us, chose our 12 x 27m marquee.

For furniture, they chose to layout the marquee with rustic trestle tables and folding wooden chairs with a couple of highchairs for smaller guests, all provided from our recommended furniture supplier for the north west – Chairman Hire. They have a huge range of indoor and outdoor furniture to chose from.

We installed our stunning flying festoons above the canopy and fairy lights inside the marquee complimented by Sarah and Danny’s choice of table lighting from XXX.  Outside, we added a walkway by the lake shore with additional festoon lighting hanging from shepherd’s crooks.

Catering was provided from a 6m square catering tent which was attached to the marquee using our specially made entrance tunnel.

As the marquee site was a little distance from the farm house, we supplied a 40 kVA generator with fuel and power distribution boards from AW Blake who we frequently use to provide power for marquee bookings from our northern base in Cumbria.  Given the (slightly!) unpredictable climate in the Lake District, Sarah and Danny opted to include a marquee heater as well.

Evening entertainment was laid on in fine style and a memorable day was had by all.

Sarah and Danny were kind enough to drop us a line after they returned from honeymoon:

“Thank you all so much for all your incredible hard work, in planning & setting up our most beautiful wedding marquee!  We could not believe how stunning it looked – it was above & beyond what we could have possibly imagined.  We also loved watching you all working to set everything up – it was truly a well-oiled machine!
Thank you for helping us create our perfect day.”
